Mere days after announcing his first headlining tour in Europe, rising R&B sensation, Destin Conrad is back with his first official release of the year, "Switch." Released Friday (Mar. 24) the bouncy, lowkey record focuses on sexuality and sensuality. Steamy and suave, Destin's only emphasis here is engaging in physical acts that bring him pure ecstasy. The title is pretty self-explanatory as he tells his lover to switch the ways and positions that jumpstart him. Produced by Louie Lastic, the mid-tempo tropical banger feels like waking up on a summer morning on vacation.
While filled with lust and physicality, the tune is very refreshing and soothing simultaneously. Conrad's hypnotic voice swirls throughout the stimulating track. Consumed with the idea of physical pleasure, he makes it crystal clear that he wants his lover in the worst way, in any setting - the bed, the floor, etc., it simply does not matter. The only concern here is the feeling of pure euphoria and satisfaction when the two interact. He even sings about needing someone who loves as intensely as himself. While Destin's sexuality has been a driving force in his music, "Switch" really shows a more carnal side of the singer/songwriter. He craves bodily contact and has no problem declaring it. The playful song is contagious yet so concise running for not even 2 full minutes. "Switch" follows Conrad's incredible 2022 sophomore project, SATIN, and leaves listeners only craving even more.
Until then, Destin Conrad lovers can catch him touring Europe hitting locations such as Amsterdam, London, and Paris.
