Just in time for summer, Mr. Folarin himself is back with all the vibes, feels, and bars on this new feel-good, anthem, "Angles." Sampling Diddy, Usher, & Loon's iconic "I Need A Girl," Wale effortlessly flows over the OG Parker & Hitmaka-produced track.
Released on Friday (Jun. 18), "Angles" is simple. Wale showers his lady with a sea of compliments and praises as he gushes about her beauty, sex appeal, and stellar demeanor. Utilizing Chris Brown for the sensational, infectious hook, the two really set the atmosphere for what appears a scorching summer. At this point in his career, Wale's skill is simply unmistakable. He continues to peel back further layers of vulnerability and transparency with each new record. Even on this light-hearted tune, the bars are clever, the verses are still sharp, and he always manages to bring forth a level of nostalgia in his artistry.
In one of the lines, the rapper briefly takes listeners back to 2007 paying homage to one of CB's past iconic hits, "Poppin."

"Angles" not only gives the ladies further captions to post on Instagram, it also highlights a lighter, free Wale. Here, he appears to just be having fun with the music and it translates on wax easily for listeners to both hear and feel. And let's not forget the icon that is Chris Brown. He does exactly what is expected of him - make musical magic. His hook literally elevates the song even further and truly brings that summertime appeal that we all want and love.
The new song arrives about 5 months following Wale's last single, the utterly contagious "Good Vibes (Za)." Following 2019's highly acclaimed, Wow... That's Crazy, "Angles" also emerges as the lead single to the star's forthcoming project.
While both CB and Wale have been relatively quiet as it pertains to their own sole releases, both of the incredible talents have lent their voices and skills to a string of features for other artists. For example, Wale can be both seen and heard on EarthGang's irresistible new remix to their "Options" single with Coi Leray as well. Folarin also appears on Pacman da Gunman's "One Piece" track as well. As for Chris Brown, he can be heard on H.E.R.'s debut album on their steamy "Come Through" track. Brown also is featured on Young Bleu's latest track, "Baddest" alongside Chris Brown.
