Fresh off the heels of her exceptional Coachella Weekend 1 performance, the Clayton County rapper has joined forces with TiaCorine for the official remix to TiaCorine's 2022 smash hit, "FreakyT."
Released Friday (Apr 21), the remix amplifies the song's high energy as Latto adds her invigorating presence to the hot track. Over Honorable C.N.O.T.E.'s booming production, Latto gets straight to business with a blazing verse that not only reinvents the song but immediately compliments TiaCorine's wavy flow. Confident, aware, and unphased, Latto floats over the track with ease.
"Freaky girls, I like freaky tings, what's up FreakyT? (Oh, yeah)
You know me, I don't need no n***as, I'm what n***as need
B***hes weak in the knees, in them tweets, on them beats
Diamonds twitchin' like they cap, hold my wrist up, make 'em freeze (Huh)
When we f**k, he sound like DJ Khaled, tellin' me this p***y is the best
Tellin' me it's super tight and wet, I don't take the d**k without the neck (Oh)."
She takes aim at the haters (both big & small) who consistently have something to say about her while also flaunting her wealth and sexual prowess. The tag team makes for a solid listen and makes yet another magical moment in today's Hip-Hop. The two previewed the remix during Latto's Coachella set, where she brought out TiaCorine, Saweetie, and Lola Brooke.
The ladies of Hip-Hop/Rap have been taking matters into their own hands, remixing each other's songs and getting back to having fun with the music while entertaining fans and listeners alike. Last week, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice teamed up for the official remix to "Princess Diana" and now TiaCorine and Latto are continuing this same energy of empowering each other as well as other women within the industry. Latto has publicly shared that she is down to support fellow female artists and continues to do so.
Prior to the "FreakyT" Remix, Latto joined forces with both Yung Miami and Lola Brooke on the "Don't Play With It" Remix and also upcoming artist, Mello Buckzz for the fiery "Boom Pt. 2" record.
And if that weren't enough, the 24-year-old released her newest single, "Put It On Da Floor" today as well. Following that release, she garnered some interesting energy from Coi Leray who didn't seem to take well to a certain bar in Latto's song and immediately took to Twitter to air out her grievances with both Latto and the song.
