Finally, the moment we have awaited is here!
From his sassy poses, meme-worthy remarks, and carefree unapologetic demeanor, our favorite emo rapper, Lil Uzi Vert is back with another banger to get you right on your feet!
Switching up the tempo, Uzi executes his same signature flow to an upbeat, techno, dance vibe that will make all listeners want to get up and dance. Having already created a viral dance to the song at the end of November, Uzi has officially dropped the first single from his highly anticipated, Eternal Atake album, “Futsal Shuffle 2020!”
Released late Thursday night (Dec. 12), "Futsal Shuffle 2020" is literally everything listeners need and more! The anime-themed track samples both Tyler the Creator and Uzi's notable 2018 interview with Nardwuar. Providing the braggadocios, instagram-caption worthy lyrics, Uzi sets the tone as he makes it clear that he is a trendsetter and that the girls these days try to get with other guys who aspire to be just like him.
"That girl, she got with my clone (One, two, three) I told that lil' girl that she gotta just do better (Woah)"
Rapping about his wealth, style, Uzi continues to set his self apart from his competition with his charismatic, unorthodox flow and delivery. He has fun with the production and lets his confidence blaze throughout the entire track. He knows that he has fathered many of these new and upcoming rappers of today and he has absolutely no problem sharing that. There is much self-awareness throughout the track as Uzi flexes his muscles, talks his trash, and backs it up.
"I ain't never been no fool Do what I want, I'ma bend your rules (Woah) I'ma take the dub, I'ma win I ain't ever been no type that lose, yeah Born like this, I ain't did no study Everything I got, man, I got it in a hurry"
2019 has been... quite an interesting year for the Philly rapper. Back in January, the 25-year-old shockingly announced that he was quitting music (what a jokester, right?). However, he returned months later with his fiery Free Uzi track before plunging back into the shadows. That single was then followed up with both the announcement of his new management deal with Roc Nation and a string of singles released in April, "That's a Rack" & "Sanguine Paradise."
With "Futsal Shuffle 2020" arriving a mere few weeks before we enter into the new decade, it is safe to say that we will be receiving that Eternal Atake album in the new year for sure! Uzi is most definitely back and in the best way possible!
