Anycia and Latto Team Up on Atlanta-Charged Single, "Back Outside"

On their first-ever collaboration, the Atlanta rappers Anycia and Latto are ready to heat the winter. Released Friday (Jan. 19), the two get down and gritty on the hard-hitting JetsonMade co-produced track, "Back Outside."

Toting a low, raspy voice, Anycia flows effortlessly over the declarative single. Unbothered, unphased, and unmoved, she steadily flows suavely about being that girl in real life. Having been agitated by her partner, she gets in her bag and steps back outside to remind everyone of who she is. Anycia flexes on her opposition, bums, and men alike who pose as an obstacle in her path while staying true to herself.

"I'm a Southside b**ch to the grave (Bitch to the grave)/I'm a real-a** b**ch to the tomb (To the tomb)/Million-dollar convos on Zoom (On Zoom). Get wet, I don't gotta use lube (I don't gotta use lube)"You a friendly-a** b**ch, I'm rude (I'm rude)/Popped out with a brand new dude. Popped out with a brand new team (Team)/Walked in, smell good, I'm tea."

With style, swag, and heavy confidence she lets her southside roots blaze throughout the record proudly. The accompanying visual highlights that same southern ATL culture from beginning to end.

Latto follows Anycia with the same hard, turnt, ATL energy rapping about haters and naysayers, her vast wealth, her physical assets and sexual prowess, and staying true to her Southside roots. She radiates utter confidence and self-assurance throughout her entire verse. Much like a viper, she attacks the beat with pure venom and leaves listeners with further Instagram captions to save in their notes.

"Walked in, young b**ch, I'm turnt/Got auntie hatin', she burnt.

H*es talk who wore what first/They don't never wanna talk 'bout a verse.

Stop worrying 'bout the sh*t they type/'Cause the same h*es see me and slurp.

I'm a Southside b**ch to the grave/I'm a Southside b**ch to the hearse."

Both the record/visual are fun to playback and enjoyable. The production while new, pays homage to the old Southside-type beats of the 2000s. The delivery from both Anycia and Latto is flawless and shows that the two make a pretty nice pair together.

"Back Outside" follows both Latto's 2022 album, 777, (and a plethora of singles/features) and Anycia's debut EP Extra, released in November. While the name may still be new to some, Anycia is one you won't forget and is most certainly an upcoming force in the industry. Having worked with the likes of artists such as Veeze, Robb Bank$, Karrahbooo, and more, Anycia is for sure up next.
